Journal of Acupuncture and Herbs (JAH) is the same journal, continued. Publisher: Medfors Sweden. Print ISSN 2002-371X · Online ISSN 2001-7464 · jah.digital

Continuous open publishing

After a technical check, a paper is Released as a preprint and opened to public formal review. With at least three accepted formal reviews and editorial certification it becomes Approved (version of record). Dissent does not automatically block certification. Released looks like a preprint; after Approved the English text is frozen and the review area stays open.

Print era and the year-volume

The print era ends at Volume 6, Issue 3 (Special Issue). After that, volume equals the calendar year. One Approved paper is enough to enter that year’s volume. Cite as 2026;e001, not year-volume-pages (which would look like 2026;2026:1-8).

Review and licence

Formal reviews are public, signed with a verified pseudonym. The office holds the real name. This is not double-blind review. Paths are editor-invited, author-invited, or volunteer (accepted by the office). Approved articles use CC BY-NC 4.0. Copyright stays with the authors. Released papers are not under CC, so exclusive submission is not hollowed out.

Issue-bound archives and conference pages are not the main path. Print-era issues remain in the print archive.
