Instructions for authors

Submit from your JAH account on the submission page. You must accept the current agreement. Do not use the old Drupal upload.

1. Language and files

Chinese or English is accepted. A Chinese submission does not need an English abstract. Upload a typesettable source (Word, PDF, TeX, or zip, up to 100 MB). Public HTML is typeset by the office; it is not your upload shown as-is.

2. Exclusive submission

While the paper is Released you may not send it elsewhere. If fewer than three formal reviews exist about 60 days after Released v1, you may withdraw and submit elsewhere, or leave it Released. A withdrawn public version keeps a Withdrawn record; it is not erased.

3. Technical check and fees

The first step is a private technical check. If it fails, you get a private note and no technical processing fee (TPF). After the English master file is ready, TPF is 50 USD, then Released. TPF is not refunded after Release. There is no APC unless you request Approved. See fees.

4. Public review (not double-blind)

After Release, formal reports sit on the article page. Reviewers use a verified pseudonym; the office holds the real name. Paths: editor-invited; author-invited (labelled, hard conflicts do not count); volunteer (identity check, office decides whether it counts). At least three formal reviews; the author should reply to each in public. Dissent does not automatically block certification.

5. Approved

After three reviews you may request Approved and pay the 800 USD APC so Medfors Sweden can register a DOI — or you may stay Released. After Approved the English text is frozen, reviews stay open, and the licence is CC BY-NC 4.0.
