Focus and scope
JAH publishes work on acupuncture, herbal medicine, and their meeting with contemporary science. Submissions may be in Chinese or English. Certification is about the science; the version of record is English, with Chinese as an optional sidecar.
Each article has at most three controlled tags and exactly one primary type. The starting six, which the office may extend by rule, are:
- Review
- Theoretical Exploration
- Digital Medicine
- Clinical Research
- Experimental Study
- Experience Transmission
Free-text keywords are also allowed. The office may refuse certification or withdraw for ethics, plagiarism, being out of scope, unreadability, or serious falsehood — not because reviewers dislike a hypothesis.
